That said, my space can start to feel incomplete when all of my vases are empty and sad looking. I have always liked the look—and concept—of dried flowers, but a lot of the arrangements I had previously seen online or while out and about contained lots of reds, pinks, and oranges. These hues are of course lovely, but they don’t exactly complement my apartment decor, which leans more neutral with some blues and greens mixed in. I knew that I could always go the faux flower route, but I also ran into snags there; none of the stems I came across ever looked convincing enough for my taste. The other week, I found myself browsing the Anthropologie website checking out their latest decor arrivals, and I was thrilled to come across a stunning dried eucalyptus arrangement from their sister brand Terrain. I love filling my vases with eucalyptus—the branches add so much height and dimension to any vignette. While fresh eucalyptus is known for being long lasting, I like that this preserved arrangement doesn’t require any upkeep, which is perfect for someone constantly on the go like me. The $38 price tag seemed reasonable given that I’ll be able to enjoy this greenery for months on end, too, so I placed an order right away. The bouquet that I received is definitely darker in real life than it appeared to be in the product listing online, but I’m honestly ok with this—I like the moody look and it’ll transition well into the winter holiday season. I absolutely love how the arrangement looks and am actually considering ordering another bundle to really fill out this large vase. Of course, the eucalyptus branches would also look fantastic with other greenery added in; when I entertain this fall, I would definitely consider adding some branches with berries or another festive pick into the mix.
