Now the company is expanding into floor coverings. Its new Peel-and-Stick Floor Tile Collection is a versatile resource for renters and DIYers. The tiles can help transform even high-traffic spaces of any size—from kitchens to bathrooms to mudrooms—in a matter of hours.  We talked to Chasing Paper Co-Founder Elizabeth Rees about the company’s new peel-and-stick floor tile collection, and how to install and clean them (the sample preview tiles we received feel durable and heavier than expected). Here is a look at the tiles and all the details you need to help redesign your space.

About Chasing Paper’s Peel-and-Stick Floor Tile Collection

The tiles are made of self-adhesive vinyl, are water-resistant and have a UV protective print to prevent fading. They’re finished with  a laminated top coating to make them durable and prevent scratching and tears. They can be installed on floors and walls. The 12" x 12" tiles are $10 each or $50 per 8-pack; the 24" x 48" panel retails for $50 each, sold exclusively at Chasing Paper.  The collection features eight designs:

Arrow in Blue, Mauve and Grey Carrera Marble Farmhouse Tile Marrakesh in Olive and Blush Porto Simple Stripe Starburst Tile in Black and Turquoise Terrazzo

How to Install the Floor Tiles

The tiles are made to adhere to smooth surfaces such as smooth ceramic or glazed tile, glass, metal, linoleum, vinyl, vinyl planking, wood laminates and sealed/polished concrete.

How to Install the Tiles

Before getting started, carefully assess your space to determine the best place to start. Chasing Paper recommends starting in the middle of your space. This will ensure that the pattern aligns throughout the space towards the edges.

Dealing With Awkward Spaces

If you’re applying the tiles around awkward spaces, Chasing Paper Co-Founder Elizabeth Rees recommends pushing the tile so it’s flush against the edge of where you want it to end. “Using a sharp razor blade, guide the razor along the edge of the tile as it’s butted up to the obstruction, using it as a guide for trimming,” she says.

Cleaning and Maintaining the Tiles

When it comes to the maintenance of the peel-and-stick tiles, it’s relatively easy. “To clean the floor tile, use a damp mop and a gentle floor cleaning solution. Finish by wiping with a dry cloth to remove any residual water,” says Rees. Just make sure to check the labels of your cleaning products. “The floor cleaning solutions should be free of bleach to avoid impacting the color of your tiles. Avoid over-saturating the floors, as excessive amounts of water will get between the tiles and impact the adhesive. You should also avoid using any automatic floor scrubbers or mops with rotating brushes,” she said.
